October/November 2014 President's Scoop

The first thing that all of you advanced sleuths will notice is that October has already passed. I had every intention of getting this letter out early. Life happens. Fortunately this time it was due to a vacation. I headed up north to visit family. Visits such as this rekindle the spirit and remind me why I moved south. The changing colors bring beauty to the area and prepare for the winter but I appreciate coming back to the sun and warmth of Southwest Florida.

The Shellcoast website is up and going. It brings a great opportunity to build our group. So far we have 34 followers. Not all are members but we hope to increase the number of followers and then members.

Remember we have a meeting on November 18th at Famous Dave's in Fort Myers (on the corner of 41 and crystal drive). The talk is by Miriam Ellenburg ARNP. The presentation is "A cardiology buffet" . As we head in to the holiday season, please take time for yourself. Be present in your life. Enjoy family, friends and colleagues (especially at shellcoast meetings).
